Well, today I tried to mow the lawn. Acually, I just went over the work my dad did since the grass is so tall and it would be hard to push through, especially for the first time mowing, not to mention the fact I'm a (short) 12 yr old girl..
So anyways.....It was hard!!! It doesn't help our backyard is basically a hill, starting from the house and going down to our fence. My legs are still aching, and I sure am excited for bedtime!! It was a good experience, maybe a little tiring, but a little hard work never killed anyone!!!
Overall, I learned a valuable lesson........I am NOT ready to mow the lawn!!!! Maybe go over the lawn that's already mowed.... but not gonna try do it myself for a few years, when I'll hopefully grow!!

Bible Study :)
Every night our family does something we call "Bible Study". We do it every night at around 7:00ish...
Our Bilble Study goes something like this: Read the bible and discuss about what it means,(we're starting in the new testament, and almost done with Matthew!), then we say sorry to each other if we did anythiing earlier that day that we need to apoligize for, Character Qualities are next, and last of all is prayer. This all takes about 30-45min, but we enjoy the time together as a family!
I like reading in Matthew, where it tells about how Jesus lived, died, then rose again! It's enetertaining to listen to(one of my parents read)and fun to discuss after wards.
It's nice to say sorry to each other, so we can wake up the next day, not feeling bitter towards anyone, and be able to feel like it's a new day!
Character Qualities, are Qualities in people, that we want to show especially in the week, for example, our character Qualitites this week are Puncuality and Contentment! We usually have two a week, and they all have a definition to what the Character Quality means, and a verse to go along with it.
Usually the prayer starts with Matthew, Alaina, or Johanna. My parents then end the prayer after everyone has prayed and that's the end of bible study! My favorite part is reading God's Word and talking about it afterwards! We all have a great time being together as a family! :)

"Footprints"
I really liked this and wanted to share it with you!!!
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed He was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from His life. For each scene He noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One belonging to Him and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of His life flashed before Him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of His life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of His life.
This really bothered Him and He questioned the LORD about it. LORD you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.
The LORD replied, my precious, precious child, I Love you and I would never leave you! During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you

Craziness in the Morning
Today I woke up to the screaming "He went under the bed! Oliver went under the bed!!" (Oliver is my guinea pig.) I immediatly got up,and jumped off the ladder to my bunkbed. Sure enough, Matthew and Alaina were trying to get the guinea pig out of under the bed (aka Benny's, my cats, favorite hideout) The shouting eventually scared the guinea pig and he ran out, but on the completly other side of the bed. Before I could grab Oliver, Benny came shooting out from under the bed also and raced after him. Oliver, surrounded by little, shouting kids and a cat, ran under the bed again. Benny again ran after him but I made sure Benny wasn't near the guinea pig, but Oliver had already run off and Benny just looked at him lazily, and lay down. I finally got ahold of Oliver, and got the story straight from the younger kids.
The guinea pig had opened his own cage (again) and he has been able to ever since one time, we were running errands (for about 3 hrs.) and came back to Oliver's cage open, and he being in the closet, looking guilty. I found a solution which sort of locks it in place, but I think he's figured out a way to open that.... He's not always running around the house so I think it takes him awhile to open it, then ocasionally gets out... So yeah, Craziness in the Morning! :)

The Bumpy Road (poem I wrote)
I'm on the bumpy road, the bumpy road of life,
The road may not be easy, but better with God's light,
Though the road's not straight, though the road bends,
God is always by my side to lend a helping hand,
Now on this bumpy road, the road splits into two,
One side may seem pleasing, but leads to flame and doom,
On the other side, the awards are to await,
But at the end, the finish, a rewarding golden gate,
Behind this golden gate, colors I cannot imagine,
The warmth he brings inside my heart, no one can fathom,
The bumpy road has come to an end,
Replaced by a golden road, put in place with his hands :)
The road may not be easy, but better with God's light,
Though the road's not straight, though the road bends,
God is always by my side to lend a helping hand,
Now on this bumpy road, the road splits into two,

A Good Way To Get Closer To Siblings
When you have a large family, like I do, you need to figure ways to get along with your siblings. So this is a way to get along with them, whether your family is large or not.
A few days ago, we were on a bike ride. This was the third time Danielle has come with my dad and me. At that point I was feeling a bit jealous, now that Danielle does everthing with me since she's older now, and learning new stuff, like riding bikes without training wheels. As I stared at her, I couldn't help, but being a little happy that she was with us. It was only a little bit of happiness, like a ray of light in my dark thoughts, but I used that ray of light, to turn all my thoughts sunny. I realized that being bitter, jealous and selfish, didn't feel good at all, but being proud and happy for her made me feel she was my most best friend in the world, who lives with me, and has sleepovers with me every night.
So the next time we went bike riding, we were going up a big hill. That was only her third or fourth time riding with us, but she made it up the hill, without getting off her bike, while managing to keep up with us. At the end of the challenging hill, I congragulated her with a "Good JOB!", and I could tell, despite her tired face, that she was proud of herself.
To conclude this, always praise your siblings, and make them feel important, and they'll give you the best reward ever: A lifelong friend.

My bike rides
Yesterday, and today I went on a bike ride with my dad and Danielle. When we began our bike ride, we immediatly saw 2 deer, and stopped to look at them awhile. Animals always make me think of how they live, what they're thoughts are and so on. Later, we came across about 6 more deer, one of them a baby deer following two more deer. We stopped and looked at them again, and when we moved on, saw two bunnies chasing each other, not fully grown, but not babies. Then, I saw a fully grown bunny, and later a baby one. I saw another fully grown one and another baby one before our bike ride ended. At this time, fireflies were coming out and lighting the night sky with their glow.
Today, we decided to go on a bike ride. As we were passing by the same spot we went yesterday, we saw two deer again. Later on our bike ride, we were on a bridge, leading over a small lake thingy. My dad stopped at looked at the water. Danielle and I looked to see what he was looking at, and saw 6 goslings, following their mother! My dad said he saw a beaver too, but I didn't see it because it slipped away, under the water before I got a chance to see it. When we were returning home, we saw two more deer, that ran off right when we spotted them.
These two days made me think of the verse Matthew 6:26: Look at the birds. They don't plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren't you far more valuable to him than they are?
That reminded me of how much He loves us and cares for us, even in the worst troubles, He has never forsken or forgotten me.
